Now it seems the TV gods have smiled upon us. As E! Online reports, Bill Lawrence will write and produce the remaining six episodes of Scrubs’ final season. ABC Studios (as opposed to the network), wants those episodes made. Now, whether or not NBC will air those episodes has yet to be determined. As Lawrence puts it: “It doesn’t seem like NBC is super psyched to air the finale, but we’re trying to work something out.” In case you’re wondering, Ben Silverman is the head of NBC and the guy you’d want to talk to about letting Scrubs air on the network its called home for seven years.

So what does this mean? It means that if NBC does not air the final six Scrubs episodes, that ABC Studios might air them on the ABC Network – or – if that doesn’t work out – they will go straight to DVD. Whatever the case, fans will get the closure that – for a short time there – seemed to be slipping away.
